Merry Christmas from the team at Phil and Ted Pushchair.co.uk!
The new 2010 Phil and Teds Explorer buggy is the replacement for the current Phil and Teds Sport and will be available sometime in September 2010.
The Phil and Teds Explorer has an all new chassis which now has a one handed folding mechanism and a vastly improved peddle style brake system which is easy to operate.
The Explorer now also shares a Vibe style follow me sun hood, this sun hood is completely adjustable and features a pop out sun visor making it much easier to shade your baby or toddler.
Another great feature is the ability to mount a car seat on the front of the buggy and still carry a toddler in the back, not something which was recommended in the Sport, Dash or Vibe. This has been made possible by shifting weight distribution around so the buggy will now not tip is you have the larger child in the back seat with a car seat on the front.
More info at our product listing for the Phil and Teds Explorer.

There are a few options to fixing a flat tyre on your pushchair.
One way to prevent flats in the first place is to put some Slime in your tyres (see Accessories). Once inside your tyre, Slime fills any puncture holes by ’swishing’ around the tube as it turns.
Here’s Kiddicare’s Slime video.
Another great way to prevent punctures is to add a tyre liner between the tyre and the inner tube - made of kevlar or plastic, they can stop sharp things puncturing the tube. Most are made for bike tyres but you can cut them to fit your Pushchair tyre. Here are a few options:
If your tyres are worn or inner tubes are more heavily punctured you’ll need to replace them - again, Kiddicare stocks inner tubes. The valve of the inner tube will need a slight kink, rather than be straight.
You might like to try some puncture-resistent inner tubes if you live in the country.
Note that the tyres for the Classic, Sport, Dash, Twin, e3 are are generic sized parts (12.5”) and are available through Amazon.co.uk (link to Pram Pushchair Tyre 12 1/2 x 2 1/4 (57-203)“>Pushchair tyre and Pushchair inner tube 12.5 x 2.25 bent valve for easy inflation“>tube) any good bike store (where you can also get a puncture repair kit). However, the low profile Vibe tyre is unique to the Vibe and should be ordered through your nearest Phil & Ted’s retailer.
Changing a tyre on a buggy is much like on a bicycle - here’s a how to video. Maximum pressure of tyres is 22psi. Only inflate with a hand pump, do not inflate with an air compressor or similar intended for car tyres.
